Aims and Scope

TESOL Theory and Praxis intends to provide an accessible tool for teacher’s professional development. It focuses on topics that are of interest and practical application to ESL or EFL teachers globally. Therefore, the approach of TESOL Theory and Praxis is to seek integration between the concepts teachers are imbued with in training and the active practice of teaching in real, grounded classrooms. To that end, praxis is concerned with classroom management, understanding learners, teaching of discrete and integrated skills, and curriculum development, as well as broader topics such as understanding education in a cultural context, considering levels of educational goals, sociolinguistics, intercultural communication, institutional concerns or international education.
